Invest To End Campaign

Since 2019, the Centre for Human Rights (CFHR) has been actively participating in the global 16 Days of Activism. This year CFHR developed its own mini #InvestToEnd campaign. The campaign called for organizations to #InvestToEnd in violence against women through strengthening laws and policies, providing accessible and quality services for survivors and creating a safer environment for women. The #InvestToEnd Campaign, was geared to create awareness of having all-encompassing prevention strategies and investments to stop violence against women and girls.

#InvestToEnd has been a guiding principle at CFHR that has been reflected in our work, whether in the form of training and building young leaders, diving into research, supporting evidence-based decision making or promoting critical-thinking.

CFHR’s #InvestToEnd campaign included various  components: a seminar at BeaconHouse Valencia Town regarding the challenges faced by child brides and implications of forced marriages, an #OrangeDay bake-sale in collaboration with Universal College Lahore’s Welfare Social, a series of social media posts to improve knowledge and awareness on different options for investments and the annual HeForShe campaign.

Through our online campaign, CFHR’s most recent investment to support women’s rights and end violence has been advocating for the protection of women’s marriage rights since 2022, including awareness on nikkahnama rights, forced marriages, minority marriage rights, etc. CFHR took an opportunity to share different investments made in our recent interventions, for example, 32,000 individuals have received legal information via our advocacy campaigns.

Orange The World

CFHR co-organized an #OrangeDay bake-sale at Universal College Lahore to spark dialogue on gender-based violence and the need for investing in the cause for violence against women. The revenue generated from the bakesale contributed to economically empower women via legal aid, awareness and training programs.

HeForShe Campaign

This is the fifth year of CFHR’s commitment to the global #HeForShe campaign. Through our social media platform we encouraged men to speak up, take action (no matter how small or big) to support equality, non-discrimination and women’s rights in pakistan. It’s pertinent to remember investments go beyond momentary contributions! Each action is an investment to change the current status quo and work towards a safer world for women and girls. The #HeForShe commitment drive resulted in 452 commitments out of which 387 commitments were made by men.
